600 Eagle Drive, DeSoto, TX 75115

3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

This Black History Month Program served as a great oppurtunity to establish an open dialogue with middle school students on being proud of their roots through acting. Three middle schools in Desoto, Texas were charged with creating a play that elaborated on Black History in combonation with education theirs peers on what decisions to NOT make in life.

After attending each play from Desoto West Middle School, Desoto East Middle School, and McCowan Middle School there was a clear WINNER!!! McCowan Middle School was awarded with a check in the amount of $500. Their play touched on how some circumstances have survived through decades of civil disobedience, protests, and struggle. Great job McCowan on showing our youth how to avoid  making the wrong decisions that end in incarceration. After all, orange is not always a good color to wear.

Another successful program! Chat & Chew provides a forum based outlet for adopting and fostering parents to sponge as well as disperse  experiences relative to the world of foster care. Incentives for Kids partners with other non profit organizations, C.P.S. workers, and owners of adoption agencies to  offer their insight and  answer  questions on how to emotionally and mentally migrate  successfully as an adoptive or foster parent. We look forward to the next support group meeting. Please continue to visit out website for more information on the next meeting which is free and open to the public!
